This pattern was created for size 12-18 months. The shawl is one rectangle. You can adjust as needed for length and width of the shawl.

Glue(to glue safety pin to the button)

4.5 horizontal clusters (sc, hdc, dc) = 4”
5.5 vertical clusters (11 rows worked in pattern) = 4'
Abbreviations and Glossary (US Terms)
ch(s) – chain(s)
dc – double crochet
hdc – half double crochet
sc – single crochet
sk – skip st(s) – stitch(es)
tch – turning chain
Foundation Row: Ch 102
Row 1: Sk 2 chs (this will count as 1 sc), work [hdc, dc] in next ch, *sk 2 chs, work [sc, hdc, dc] in next ch; rep from * until 3 chs remain, sk 2 chs, sc in last ch; turn.
Row 2: Ch 1 (this will count as 1 sc), work [hdc, dc] in first st, *sk [1 dc, 1 hdc], work [sc, hdc, dc] in next sc; rep from * until 3 sts remain, sk [dc, hdc], sc in top of tch; turn. Rep Row 2 another 26 more times for a total of 28 rows. This will look like 14 clusters. Fasten off.
Button
For the button, attach the safety pin to the back of the button using the glue. This can be placed anywhere on the shawl and create the fit you're looking for.
